My Dash

My dad and I have always been very close. I can't imagine who I would be today if it wasn't for him. He was my best friend when I was growing up. He would play basketball with me on Sundays, help me with my homework if I was confused, and even take me to movies on the weekends. It didn't matter what the occasion, he was always there for me. My dad was my hero. I still love my dad, but he works so much now that I hardly ever get to see him. My mom and I were the complete opposite, however. We never got along. To this day, I wonder whether we will ever have a relationship at all. I wish things were different, because I can't help but feel sad when I think about my wedding day, when I won't have a mom or sisters to share such a special day.

Talking to dead people.

Hello all!!

I am very excited to read the book for English 15. It is unlike most of the books I read on a regular basis so I'm sure it will be interesting. I like the idea of talking to dead people in a story because it isn't a topic that many people have written about in the past. I wonder, however, how the author came up with such a unique topic. I wish I was creative like that. All in all, I am looking forward to finding out how the story shapes up!
